Terms of service

1. Who you are contracting with

Hot Dog Productions Ltd, company number 08145679, registered in England and Wales, registered office Suite 1 Unit 7, The Henfield Business Park, Shoreham Road, Henfield, West Sussex, BN5 9SL. References to “we” and “us” mean that company.

2. The order

A project exists when we have sent you a written quote and you have confirmed it in writing. The quote sets out the scope: runtime band, delivery format, number of revision rounds, the material to be used, the price and the delivery date. Nothing outside that quote is included.

3. Price and payment

Prices are fixed per project and stated in the quote, in euro. Unless the quote says otherwise, we invoice 50% on confirmation and 50% on delivery. Work starts when the first payment clears. Bank charges and currency conversion costs are yours.

4. Your material and your responsibilities

You confirm that you have the right to use the photographs, footage, audio and music you send us, and that the people shown in them have consented to their use in a private film. You keep ownership of your material; you give us permission to use it only to produce your film. If a third party claims against us because of material you supplied, you are responsible for that claim.

5. Revisions

Two revision rounds are included. A round is one consolidated set of timecoded notes applied in a single pass. Notes given after the second round, or a change of direction after the outline is approved, are new scope and are quoted separately.

6. Delivery

Delivery is by download link, in the formats stated in the quote. The link stays active for 30 days; keep your own copy. Risk passes to you on delivery. We are not responsible for a file that will not play on equipment that does not support the agreed format.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel within 14 days of confirming the order and before the first cut is delivered, and we will refund everything you have paid. After the first cut is delivered, the first instalment is not refundable because the work has been done; you may cancel the remainder and owe nothing further. If we cancel for a reason within our control, we refund all payments for work not yet delivered.

8. Liability

We are responsible for the work we produce and for our own negligence. We are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost opportunity. Our total liability for a project is limited to the fee you paid for that project. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Complaints

Write to support@hotdog.productions with the project reference and what is wrong. We will acknowledge within five working days and respond substantively within fourteen. If we cannot resolve it between us, the dispute is subject to the law of England and Wales and to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your project is the one in force on the date you confirmed the quote.
